Cupro Nickel Alloy Side Plate for the Aerospace Industry

Volkert's progressive stamped alloy side plates are formed from metal stamping know-how and cutting-edge technology. Additional project specifications are in the table below. Contact us for more information.

Volkert Precision Technologies, Inc. manufactured cupro nickel alloy side plates for an aerospace industry customer. The product shown below is used in commercial and military aircraft electronic relays. We applied progressive die stamping to cupro nickel alloy for the resulting side plates. Our team used a 60-ton Minster press on cupro nickel alloy 715. The 0.020” thick alloy metal underwent progressive die stamping; producing side plates 1.400” long x 1.310” wide. Designed to exact customer requirements with 2D CAD drawings, 500,000 units were produced maintaining the tightest tolerance of ± 0.0002”. Our process formed center holes on the extension with a diameter of ± 0.0002”. In addition to in-process testing, post production includes final and patrol inspections. We fulfilled a four-week delivery turnaround time for the United States and France-based customer.
